DMICDC Project

Location: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat & Maharashtra

Project Description: Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is conceived by the Govt. of India aiming at developing the corridor as a “global manufacturing and trading hub” having world class infrastructure and policy framework. Govt. of India through Dept. of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) has appointed IL&FS, as consultant for this ambitious project. IEISL is working closely with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Company (DMICDC) for providing necessary advisory services in Remote Sensing, GIS and ITES for perspective planning and nodal planning of the Corridor.

The use of satellite imagery has proved to enhance master plans with valuable information as land use/land cover, change detection, vegetation classification etc. For initial perspective planning and detailed planning of DMIC, it is decided that high resolution satellite imagery would be used to arrive at conceptual project design. IEISL has proposed IRS-P6 LISS IV multi spectral images for Regional level planning.

Nodal level planning would require satellite images of spatial resolution with less that 1 meter. Hence, Quick Bird satellite imagery, bundled product with PAN sharpened MX data is opted for micro level planning requirements. IEISLhas optimized the procurement satellite images, developed the procurement plan and is facilitating the procurement process including quality assurance. IEISL is also proposing to develop an enterprise solution for DMICDC for the Life Cycle Management of the project.
