7.5 MW bundled small-scale wind project, Sangli District, Maharashtra, India

Location: Sangli, Maharashtra

Project Description:  The project is a bundled project activity which involves commissioning and operation of 6 Wind Electric Generators (WEGs) of 1.25 MW capacities with a total installed capacity of 7.5 MW. The project activity will supply power to the state grid and help reduce (GHGs) green house gas emissions from the fossil based power plants. The project is based in District Sangli, Maharashtra, India. The annual estimated CERs (Certified Emission Reductions) generated from the project amount to 11,793 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. The project got registered with UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) on April 23, 2010 and is in the process to achieve its first issuance of CERs. The project is registered and undergoing verification.
