Installation of Wind Power Project in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu

Location:  Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu

Project Description: The objective of the project activity is to set up a wind farm of aggregate capacity 50.4 MW in India. The wind farms will be in two different states of India, namely Rajasthan (38.4 MW) and Tamil Nadu (12 MW). A total of 63 Wind Electric Generators (WEGs) of 800 kW capacities each will be installed at the sites, of these 48 WEGs will be installed at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and 15 WEGs will be installed in Tamil Nadu. The project would lead to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and provide clean renewable power to the NEWNE as well as Southern regional grid. The project is claiming CDM benefits for displacing grid electricity and is undergoing validation.
